A man has been arrested in connection with an armed car hijacking in West Dublin early this morning.
The suspect was arrested at Fonthill Road in Clondalkin after giving chase to gardaí in the stolen vehicle at around 7.30am.
The Garda air support unit was mobilised during the operation and an imitation hand gun was recovered at the scene.
No-one was injured during the incident.
