Man arrested in UK over Nelson murder

Mrs Rosemary Nelson

Detectives investigating the murder of civil rights lawyer Rosemary Nelson today arrested a man in Devon, England.

British police said a 32-year-old man was arrested this morning in Plymouth.

The man, originally from Co Armagh, was being transported to Northern Ireland where he will be quizzed about Mrs Nelson's murder.

Two men arrested last week in connection with the killing have since been released.

Mrs Nelson was killed in March 1999 when a bomb exploded under her car outside her home in Lurgan, Co Armagh. Loyalist paramilitaries have been blamed for the killing.
