A 21 year old man has been arrested in connection with the death 17-year-old Jamie Keogh who was stabbed in Tallaght in the early hours of this morning.
Father of one Mr Keogh of Millbrook Lawns, Tallaght, was found lying on a footpath at Dunamore Avenue, Tallaght, at about 2 a.m. He was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital but died there a short time later.
There were a series of disturbances in the area reported to the gardaí between 1 a.m. and the time of the discovery. Gardaí took statements from a number of people who were in the area at the time.
The scene has been preserved for the Garda Technical Bureau and the State pathologist, and an incident room has been set up in Tallaght.
The results of the post mortem are expected later this evening.
