Man arrested after suspicious death in Belfast

 

A man has been arrested after the suspicious death of another man in Belfast, it emerged today.

Police are investigating reports that the dead man, aged 40, was involved in a row shortly before his death.

He died in his home at Benburb Street in the Donegall Road area of south Belfast at around 9.30 p.m. last night.

Post mortem tests were being carried out later today to establish the exact circumstances of his death.

A man is in custody being questioned about the incident and a section of Donegall Road between Benburb Street and Lecale Street has been sealed off.

Detectives at Musgrave Street Station appealed to anyone in the Benburb Street/Lecale Street area on Saturday between 8.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. to contact them.
