Gardaí from Pearse Street have seized a loaded gun and arrested one man in a planned search of a house in Clondalkin at 5.30pm this afternoon.
The house, in Oakway, Dublin 22, was searched as part of an ongoing operation targeting criminal activity in the Dublin area
The nine millimetre automatic Glock handgun, ammunition and a small amount of cocaine, with an approximate value of €3,000, were found.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the house and is being held under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act at Pearse Street station.
