A man appeared in Drogheda District Court yesterday in relation to 21 charges of indecent assault on 11 males on dates between 1963 and 1982. Garda Supt Fergus Doggitt told the court the Director of Public Prosecutions had consented to summary disposal and he was seeking an adjournment.

Mr Robert Eager, solicitor for the defendant, said it would be appropriate to adjourn the matter. Judge Flann Brennan adjourned the case to February 7th and imposed reporting restrictions.
