Gardai in Tuam have launched an investigation following the death of an elderly man who was struck by a lorry in Co Galway this evening.
The incident took place at 7.40 p.m. in Turloughmore on the Galway to Roscommon road.
An 84-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a lorry and died at the scene.
