Man (26) dies after Leitrim crash

A 26-year-old man died last night after aa crash in Leitrim yesterday afternoon.

A 26-year-old man died last night after aa crash in Leitrim yesterday afternoon.

The man died when the car he was driving was in collision with an articulated truck at Wardhouse, Tullaghan, Co Leitrim.

He was taken to Sligo General Hospital after the crash where he was treated in intensive care. However, he was pronounced dead last night.

Meanwhile, a 23-yera-old man died yesterday from injuries he sustained in a crash on Saturday. Stephen Kelly from Moystown, Shannon Harbour, Co Offaly was injured when his motorcycle was in collision with a van at 6pm on Saturday at Tonlemone, Banagher, Co Offaly.

He died of his injuries in Tullamore Hospital yesterday. The driver of the van was also injured but his injuries are not life-threatening.
