A 19-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the investigation into the murder of Darren McKeown in Drogheda last Wednesday.

The man was arrested at 10.30am and is being held at Drogheda Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Mr McKeown died on Sunday after an alleged assault at Rowan Heights in Drogheda on St Stephen's Day.

Four men have already being questioned and released without charge by gardai.
