Iarnrod Eireann has announced that from next Thursday track and signalling improvements work will take place on the Mallow/Tralee railway line. During this year £6.5 million will be spent on laying 8.5 miles of track between Mallow and Killarney, and improving signalling along the Mallow/Tralee route.
