A 12-year-old girl is recovering in Limerick Regional Hospital after she was struck by a car which did not stop, in O'Malley Park, Southill, at 9.20 p.m on Monday. She suffered a compound leg fracture and her condition was described as stable. A car believed to have been involved was found abandoned in the area. Gardai at Roxboro say they are following a definite line of inquiry.
