Limerick Corporation yesterday published regulations to control the consumption of intoxicating liquor in public places. A fine of £1,500 on a summary conviction can be imposed.

Prohibited places include any public road, footpath or cemetery, open places and places to which the public has access, including any foreshore or coastal waters adjoining the borough of Limerick.
