The Homeless Unit of the Eastern Health Board in West Great Charles Street, Dublin, has been closed temporarily because of lice infestation.

The unit, which deals with over 4,500 people a year who seek emergency accommodation or financial assistance, is expected to reopen on Monday.

In the meantime, staff are operating from EHB offices at Park House on the North Circular Road.
