THE campaign by the President, Mrs Robinson, to be appointed to a leading international human rights post received a further boost when her candidature was backed yesterday by the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Dr Jose Ramos Horta.
Dr Horta, who is on a visit to Ireland, said Mrs Robinson was "an outstanding candidate" for the vacant position of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
