Henrik Larsson smashed a second-half hat-trick to give 10-man Celtic a 3-0 victory over Kilmarnock in the Scottish League Cup final at Hampden Park today.

The prolific Sweden striker scored after 47, 74 and 81 minutes to give Celtic their 12th League Cup success and take his season's goal tally to 47.

In between the Swede's first and second goals Celtic's English striker Chris Sutton was sent off for a dangerous tackle.

Martin O'Neill's side, who are 13 points clear at the top of the Scottish premier league, are seeking this season to complete their first treble of Scottish league title, League Cup and Scottish Cup since 1969.
