As a combination of its visual arts and environmental programmes, Temple Bar Properties has commissioned a special outdoor projection installation to mark the winter solstice next Wednesday. The installation, by Dublin-based English artist Paul O'Connor, is called after a Spiritualized album: Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space. If you go along on the night to Meeting House Square in Temple Bar, you can expect to see a projection of live images from the soho lasco c3 satellite of the sun and the solar system via the Internet. The images will be beamed onto the closed doors of the Ark stage from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight. O'Connor's work is always well worth seeing, mainly because he is in the vanguard of introducing alternative styles and methods of projecting images and next week's outdoor show promises to be a real spaced-out affair.
