A court action against the former FAI president, Mr Louis Kilcoyne, by Allied Irish Banks over a £4,000 debt was struck out yesterday in Dublin District Civil Court.

Mr Kilcoyne, of Milltown Grove, Dublin, had been sued by AIB for repayment of £4,360, but a previous hearing was told that an offer to settle had been made and the case was adjourned. Neither Mr Kilcoyne nor solicitors for AIB were present when the case was called and Judge Thomas Fitzpatrick struck it out.
