A police spokesman said a 19-year-old man was arrested later at Telford's Malinsgate police station.

A Wolves spokesman confirmed both players had been detained by police, but refused to comment on the details.

It is understood the footballers had been to watch their colleagues play Telford United on Monday night.

Police said the 25-year-old man had been charged with "a drink-driving related offence" and was bailed to appear before Telford magistrates next month.
