At least 25 people were killed when a crowded bus skidded off a hilly road and plunged about 300 feet into a gorge in Indian Kashmir today, police said.
Thirteen passengers were also injured in the accident which happened in the border district of Poonch, about 160 miles north of Jammu, winter capital of the Himalayan state.
"The bus skidded off the road while negotiating a sharp curve and fell into a 300-feet deep gorge," a police officer told reporters. Five policemen were among the dead, he added
