Ms Jenna Bush, one of the 19year-old twin daughters of US President Bush, was fined $500 and had her driver's licence suspended in one alcohol-related case yesterday and was sentenced to probation in another.

Ms Bush was put on probation for using someone else's identification to falsely show she was old enough to buy an alcoholic drink. The legal drinking age in Texas is 21.

Austin Municipal Court Judge Kerrie Key fined her $100 in court costs, required her to perform 36 hours of community service and ordered her to attend a victim impact group to learn about alcohol's potential dangers.

Ms Bush, who was not in court and was represented by her lawyer, Mr William Allison, pleaded no contest to the incident on May 31st in which she tried to use someone else's identification to buy a drink at Chuy's, an Austin restaurant.
