UEFA has fined the Italian FA stg£27,000 for a serious lack of security leading to crowd disturbances that occurred during their Euro 2004 qualifier against Wales on September 6 in Milan.

The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body also decided to open disciplinary proceedings against the Welsh FA for the improper conduct of their supporters during the same game.
