Island cars exempt from test

Cars permanently based on islands not connected to the mainland by road or roll-on, roll-off ferry services will be exempt from the pending national car test. The Minister of State for the Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands, Mr Eamon O Cuiv, said he was delighted with the news which would benefit inhabitants of the islands under his Department.
