Jammu - Ten people were killed yesterday as Islamic militants attacked a railway station in the Kashmir city of Jammu and fired automatic weapons at hundreds of people, officials and witnesses said.
At least 30 others were injured when three heavily armed militants stormed the railway station in the Hindu-dominated city late yesterday, Jammu's police chief, Mr R.V. Raju, said. They opened fire after alighting from the Malwa Express train as soon as it stopped, local police said, adding the train had arrived from the central Indian town of Indore.
