Ireland won a nailbiting final in the men’s hockey European Qualifying Tournament at Belfield this afternoon, beating Italy 3-2.
Italy had twice taken the lead - they held a 2-1 advantage at half-time - but after Ireland had fought their way back to get on terms, Justin Sheriff struck the winning goal ten minutes from time.
