Young man killed, four injured in two-car Galway crash

Two-year-old girl among those injured in collision near Dunmore on Monday night

One man has died and four other people have been injured in a crash in Co Galway injured in a crash in Co Galway on Monday night.

The 21-year-old died when the car he was driving was in collision with another car at Carrowmhuineagh, Dunmore, Co Galway at about 8.30pm.

Another 21-year-old man travelling in the same car suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the second car, a 74-year-old man and his two passengers, a 70 year-old woman and a two-year-old child, were also injured in the crash.

Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, local diversions are in place.
