A video of a man dressed in a Spiderman outfit engaged in a scuffle in Dublin city centre has gone viral.

It appears that the video was shot on South Anne Street in front of, astonishingly, the Gotham Café.

Spiderman is a well known Dublin city centre street performer.

In the video, a man can be seen punching Spiderman repeatedly in the head before Spiderman tackles him to the ground.

When the man got to his feet, Spiderman pushed him down a second time.

Spiderman then blocked the man’s attempt to flee the scene.

The man can be heard shouting “let go of me!” as Spiderman blocked his path.

The cause of the brawl, which lasted at least three minutes, is unknown.

A spokesman for An Garda said two males, aged 25 and 39, were arrested on South Anne Street yesterday afternoon.

They were taken to Irishtown Garda station and released pending further investigation.
