A man in his 40s has reportedly died in a road crash in Co Tipperary.

The incident happened between Cashel and Horse and Jockey on the main M8 Cork/Dublin road shortly after 6pm on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene where the man was pronounced dead.

The motorway is expected to remain closed until mid-morning on Monday. Diversions are in place.
