The victim of an alleged assault in Dublin last week has died of his injuries in hospital.
The man, named locally as Liam Bennett (46) from Inchicore, was walking down Tyrconnell Road when he became involved in an altercation.
According to gardaí, the incident occurred at about 9.25pm last Thursday week.
Last Saturday, a man in his 30s was charged in connection with the incident.
