Ireland's Kentucky Derby challengers Johannesburg and Castle Gandolfo arrived safely in the United States last night.

Ireland's Kentucky Derby challengers Johannesburg and Castle Gandolfo arrived safely in the United States last night.

The pair traveled to Keeneland racecourse and were placed into quarantine, where they will remain until tomorrow.

The horses will train at the track on Friday before travelling to Churchill Downs for the Derby on Saturday.

Trainer Aidan O'Brien is expected to arrive in the United States on Friday.
