Europe's first "live" Mass on the Internet will be broadcast by RTE next Friday, the Feast of the Assumption.
The Mass, from Glenstal Abbey, Co Limerick, will be celebrated by the abbot, Dom Christopher Dillon, and will feature Gregorian chant from the monks choir. They will be joined by Ms Noirin Ni Riain for two chants in Irish.
The Mass is due to be broadcast via Eurovision, to the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Portugal. It can be accessed worldwide at http://www.rte.ie/glenstal
