Inquiry into solicitor practice

The Law Society of Ireland has confirmed it is conducting an inquiry into the practice of McGahon solicitors, Dundalk, Co Louth. The statement was issued last night in relation to the legal practice of Mr Conor McGahon, who is also the chairman of Dundalk Urban District Council. The vice-chairman, Mr Seamus Byrne, took the chairman's seat at a number of functions in the town yesterday during a visit by the Taoiseach, Mr Ahern. Mr Gahon is a son of the Fine Gael TD, Mr Brendan McGahon.
