THE cases Eastern Health Board (EHB) has warned of an increase in cases of meningitis this year. Twelve cases have been reported to the board so far this year and three patients have died.
Meanwhile, the South Eastern Health Board has confirmed five cases of meningitis in the Waterford region in the last 10 days, including two six month old babies, two youths and an adult.
