Hamilton - A powerful Hurricane Erin, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season, was rolling east of the Bermuda island chain yesterday and residents calmly waited for the tempest to pass.
Erin was expected to tilt a little closer to Bermuda, a British territory of some 60,000 people, by late yesterday but spare it a direct hit, forecasters said.
