London - The British Tory party leader, Mr William Hague, said yesterday the shadow home secretary, Ms Ann Widdecombe, would not be speaking for the party on fox hunting after her passionate attack on supporters of the blood sport.

In an article in yesterday's Observer she described the sport as being "morally indefensible" and having no place in a modern, humane society.
