Manchester - Two young insurance salesmen plunged to their deaths from an eighth-floor window after "horseplay" in a hotel room, police said yesterday.

Daniel Howarth-Hynes and Graeme Lynch, both 22, were killed when they fell from a room at the Renaissance Hotel in Manchester city centre on Saturday morning.

The alarm was raised by guests at the hotel, where the TV series Cracker was filmed. Fans of the drama saw detective Jimmy Beck jump to his death from the roof.
