Belfast amateur Michael Hoey had a hole-in-one during the second round of the European Tour's Dunhill Championship in Johannesburg today.

Hoey used a nine-iron off the par-three 12th at the Houghton Golf Club and managed to hole out from 161 yards.

However, he followed that up with a bogey and a double-bogey and is currently eight-over par for the tournament with three holes of his round remaining.

Sandeep Grewal and Roger Wessels lead the tournament on ten under par after this morning's play.

Ireland's Paul McGinley tied for the lead on six under par after yesterday's first round. He has yet to start his second round.
