Heseltine's odds are slashed

Bookies have reported a run of bets on Mr Michael Heseltine to succeed Mr Major as Tory leader. William Hill's slashed the odds on his taking the leadership from 4/1 to 2/1 clear favourite after a surge of bets over the weekend. Ladbrokes also cut his odds from 10/1 to 7/2 co favourite with the other two Michaels - Portillo and Howard.
