Fiji's Vijay Singh won the US850,000 dollars Singapore Masters with a score of 21 under par 263 today while Padraig Harrington finished tied for fifth with Denmark's Anders Hansen at 17 under par 267.

Harrington had earlier called a one-shot penalty on himself on the 16th hole.

The Irishman, who lost out in a play-off to Singh in Kuala Lumpur, was addressing his second shot to the par four 16th when the ball moved a fraction of an inch. The Ryder Cup player instantly turned away in disbelief knowing it would cost him a one-shot penalty and end his fading chances of victory.

Rules officials were called to confirm what Harrington already knew and after replacing the ball in its original position, the 29-year-old Dubliner played his third shot to the green and missed from 25 feet to save par.
