Shots were fired at a police station on the border between County Fermanagh and County Donegal last night.

Shots were fired at a police station on the border between County Fermanagh and County Donegal last night.

This morning police officers investigating reports of gunfire in Belleek found a number of strike marks on a private house beside the village's police station on Sunday morning.

They also found two bullet strike marks on the station itself from the attack which is believed to have occurred around 9 p.m.

No one was injured. A follow-up operation is under way in the area.
