The Barry Hills-trained colt worked well at the weekend but connections have opted to head straight to the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot next month.

Angus Gold, racing manager to owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum, told the Racing Post: "Sheikh Hamdan feels it's better to give Haafhd a bit more time to get over the Guineas and wants to be there to see the horse run at Ascot.
