PARIS - The UN cultural agency, UNESCO, awarded its 1996 Felix Houphouet Boigny peace prize yesterday to President Alvaro Arzu of Guatemala and the rebel leader, Mr Rolando Moran, for signing an agreement ending the country's long civil war.
