The Northern Ireland Policing Board has established a working group to produce an emblem for the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
Unionist members of the board have already rejected a number of designs suggested by the Northern Ireland Office. The board's chairman, Prof Desmond Rea, said the issue would not be an easy one to resolve.
