Green projects awarded grants

Instruction in composts, correct tree-planting and the distribution of cloth shoppingbags are three of the 65 projects awarded grants from the Government's environmental partnership fund. Announcing the allocation of £100,000, the Minister of State for the Environment, Mr Dan Wallace, said yesterday its aim was to promote co-operation between community groups and local government in raising environmental awareness.
