Wine has lost one of its greatest protagonists in Ireland with the sudden death this week of Dr John O'Connell. The Corkman who combined a medical career with a substantial commitment to wine by writing and lecturing, in formed and enhused thousands of wine-lovers, especially in Munster. He will be greatly missed.
