Racing: This evening's meeting at Gowran has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.
The County Kilkenny venue was overwhelmed by 26 millimetres of overnight rain, which left the course unraceable.
"Paddy Graffin, the clerk of the course, was called out early this morning and found the course to be completely submerged — there was nothing that could be done," a Turf Club spokesman said.
"They have cancelled the meeting in the hope of getting it back at some stage."
