Home appliance maker Glen Dimplex is to invest €2.5 million in a research centre in Dunleer, Co Louth.

Home appliance maker Glen Dimplex is to invest €2.5 million in a research centre in Dunleer, Co Louth.

The centre will employ 20 researchers and engineers who will work on the development of next-generation energy efficient products.

Glen Dimplex has an annual turnover approaching €2 billion and employs 10,000 people worldwide.

The company is involved in the development of energy-efficient products using renewable technologies.
