Gardai are appealing for witnesses to an assault between midnight and 3.30 a.m. on Saturday morning in Artane, Dublin, in which a 17-year-old youth was seriously injured.
The victim was found in a laneway behind Maryfield Drive. Anybody with information is asked to contact 01666 4200.
