Two prisoners are on their third day of unlawful freedom after absconding from officers while on their way back from a court appearance on Thursday.
The two escaped from a Garda van outside Mulgrave Street Prison in Limerick. They had earlier been remanded in custody to there.
A Garda spokesman said another vehicle may have been waiting to pick up the prisoners after their escape.
The two are believed to have been charged in relation to a bank robbery last year.
