Gardaí have named the man who died after a fight outside a nightclub at Cork early today as Mr Adrian Moynihan (23) who was from the city.
Mr Moynihan is believed to have been involved in an altercation outside a nightclub in Grafton Street shortly after midnight.
He was taken to the South Infirmary Hospital where he died a short time later.
Gardaí said they were investigating the incident and a post mortem was due to be carried out later today.
Footage from security cameras outside the nightclub is also being examined.
