Gardaí in Balbriggan are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an infant boy in Lusk, Co Dublin yesterday.
The infant was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda from a house at Scholars Walk, Lusk where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
A post mortem was carried out on the child at the Louth County Hospital in Dundalk yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí are undertaking a technical examination of the house at Scholars Walk today.
There are no further details at present.
